Crib Skirt/ Changing Pad Cover

After we moved into our home and before the baby was born, Pinterest was my go to place for ideas on how I wanted to do our nursery!  After probably hours of looking I found this nursery and completely feel in love.  I wanted bright colors and loved the white furniture and grey walls.  We did the exact same paint job, some of the same fabric, bought the same Ikea dresser and lamp in green from target.... did I tell you how original I am?? Some things were different, I wanted a white cube crib and my mom bought me one from Walmart for under $200.  We also bought a white chair with matching footstool from Ikea. I should add that by We I really mean my husband Caleb, props go to him for doing all the paint and taking all that time to put the furniture together, he really is a keeper :)
My latest project in the nursery was sewing the changing pad cover and crib skirt.  (Mom sewed the curtains)  I couldn't believe how easy it was and will definitely be doing my own for my future kiddos.  I found this tutorial on the crib skirt, I loved it because it was basic and will be easy to adjust when I lower the crib and because of the design on my crib I only had to do one side.  I used this tutorial for the changing pad cover, super easy and will make a great shower gift! I have more projects I'm in the middle of for the nursery and will post more pics soon!  I'm also working on refinishing a desk that I should have up soon and am getting ready to do my own curtains for my front room!
